Chinese Label Pre-inspection
Products that display non-compliant Chinese labeling and Instructions for Use are prohibited for sale under the Food Safety Law and Product Quality Law of the People’s Republic of China.
For example, as legislated within Article 97 of the Food Safety Law, and Article 27 of the Product Quality Law.
- All imported pre-packaged food, food additive and pre-packaged product labeling and Instructions for Use shall be written in Simplified Chinese text, in accordance with the relevant and applicable GB Standards and Laws of the People’s Republic of China.
- The text and date format, font type and text size on all imported pre-packaged product labels and Instructions for Use, shall comply with the provisions of the applicable GB Standards as mandated by the People’s Republic of China.
- All Chinese label and Instructions for Use, shall comply as required by the applicable GB Standards, Laws and Regulations of the People’s Republic of China.
