Pre-shipment Inspection
What is Pre-Shipment inspection?
Pre-shipment inspection involves the comprehensive inspection of products randomly selected from all batches, and is usually conducted when the production run has been completed with at least 80% of the goods ready to be packed.
This is the final opportunity to take corrective action before the order is 100% finished and packed, making it an effective tool to reduce the risks of international trading.
The objectives of Pre-shipment inspection are:
- ✓ Assessing the condition of the goods and packaging;
- ✓ Confirming the quantities of the goods;
- ✓ Verifying relevant documents; and
- ✓ Ensuring goods are compliant.
